A collection of my work from the project, "Echoes of a Mother". This project was inspired by my unconventional upbringing, outside the typical 'nuclear family'. It is a personal, reflective body of work, contemplating themes of nostalgia, identity, post-memory, and belonging . The nature of the project is melancholic, but is rooted in healing and progression. This work was accompanied by a living room installation, intending to feel homely and comforting. When looking at the images which contain missing figures, it becomes somewhat jarring and unsettling to be within the space. The installation provides an opportunity to satisfy voyeuristic curiosity and explore the work in an immersive setting.
